I know this is twice in like three days, but I haven't posted in like a month or so before that, so hopefully you will appreciate this as much as I did learning about it in my TMA 202 (Theatre History) class this past week....IT IS JUST TOO COOL FOR WORDS. Hence, the pictures below. But a caption first, to give you a little background. (:
The Seebühne, a massive floating stage on Lake Constance, is the centerpiece of the annual Bregenz Festival in Austria. The stage hosts elaborate opera productions that are famous for their extraordinary set designs, for audiences of up to 7000. The Bregenz Festival is currently underway, with performances through August 21 (source).
To direct a show on one of these stages....or to PERFORM on one...or even to be in the AUDIENCE to see one...I can't even IMAGINE how cool that would be!! Click them to make them bigger! (:
(You can see where the audience is seated clearly in proportion to where the stage is in the water in this first one)
PS Did I mention that in all these productions they tend to make use of the water around them during the productions? Like with actors falling off stage and into the water and all sorts of other fun stuff? SO COOL. They must have waterproof microphones or some other crazy kinda sound system to be able to make all that work!
I love theatre. (:

I found this on FB and thought it was completely hilarious, since THESE GUYS (aka my best Beatles friends) from last year introduced me to the idea of "awkward hugs"...
One of our favorites = "the side hug":
You can watch this vid and hopefully get a good laugh out of them, like I did (especially the French hug...tahahaha).
And (just because I can)...everyone's favorite hug awkward hug. Haha (:
